• Closing credit card accounts that you don’t use. You may think closing a credit card account that is not used often is the best way to move forward. In some instances, it might make sense to close your account, but for the most part, keeping your accounts open helps to lengthen your credit card history and increases your overall total credit.
• Racking up your credit card bill. One of the most common bad habits that affects credit scores is overspending – just because you have the credit, doesn’t mean your bills should reach that limit if they do not have to!
